One rumor was quickly shot down when Quantic Dream presented at Sony’s PlayStation press conference. The developer was not there to announce new games set to appear on the PlayStation 4 console, but to unveil the next-gen engine which will take live-action technology to a whole new level. The currently-unnamed engine will feature improved and realistic facial animation technology to achieve complete emotional connection with characters, redefining the meaning of humanizing fictional characters.

Yoshinori Ono, best known for being the producer of the Street Fight IV series, took to the stage during the PlayStation 4 event to announce Capcom’s new title Deep Down (working title) which is still under development for the perfect gaming experience. Blizzard Entertainment appeared at the Sony press conference to confirm that the company is developing RPG Diablo 3 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 after making PC-exclusive games throughout the years. More details are said to be revealed in the coming months. The game will feature new updates for Paragon levels, the Infernal Machine event, Monster Power, Brawling, and more. AMD confirms PlayStation 4 runs custom APU developed with Sony

After we made an educated guess on the PlayStation 4 using AMD hardware yesterday, it seems we got half of that equation right. AMD themselves confirmed this morning that the PlayStation 4 will indeed use their APU hardware.

During the Sony’s press conference in New York, Ubisoft confirmed that their upcoming thriller game Watch Dogs will be available for PlayStation 4 and Wii U. The game will run on AnvilNext, the latest game engine created by Ubisoft Montreal. CEO Yves Guillemot said, “we are creating games that can be played anytime anywhere across many different devices.”

Bungie and Activision unveiled their latest first-person shooter title Destiny which will be set in massive open-world at Bungie’s studio in Bellevue, Washington.
