Happy 10th birthday, Microsoft Xbox

Once upon a time on the 15th of November, 2001, the first ever Xbox went on sale, marking a start to Microsoft’s debut in the gaming console industry. The console couldn’t have been released at a better time as Sony’s PlayStation 2 had been available for almost a year by then and console gaming was becoming more mainstream than ever before.
Back in the good old days, the Xbox’s choice of 8 GB or 10 GB hard drives seemed spacious as […]

Surprise! Assassin’s Creed 3 PC delayed

Ubisoft does it again! A Eurogamer source claims that the game will be released in November, leaving PC gamers to watch from the sidelines once again. Speculations have begun even before the release of the third installment, so this doesn’t come as a surprise.
“We don’t comment on rumors. The Windows PC release date is still to be announced,” Ubisoft says. That sounds absolutely assuring, doesn’t it?
On the bright side…. well, there is no bright side until the confirmation.

Warren Spector says “the ultraviolence has to stop”

I won’t be smug about this but Warren Spector might’ve taken these words right out of my mouth. The Deus Ex creator tells GamesIndustry.biz, “The ultraviolence has to stop. We have to stop loving it. I just don’t believe in the effects argument at all, but I do believe that we are fetishizing violence, and now in some cases actually combining it with an adolescent approach to sexuality. I just think it’s in bad taste. Ultimately I think it will […]

Yes this Monday. June the 18th. No word on specifications, price, features or even a name for Microsoft’s upcoming tablet… in fact there’s nothing but a date being mentioned at this point in time.
It’s […]

The document makes a reference to an ‘Xbox 720’ which is said to feature new stuff such […]
