Black Tusk Studios is a fairly new venture that was officiated by Microsoft in Vancouver last November. Talking with the Vancouver Sun shortly after Black Tusk Studios was formed last year, studio manager Mike Crump mentioned they were “working on Microsoft’s next big entertainment franchise” that would hopefully become “the next Halo”. Turns out Black Tusk Studios might not be working on one, but four new franchises. The LinkedIn profile of the company’s senior product manager/product planner […]

We’ve discovered that a Prey 2 related announcement is scheduled for March 1, 2013 at 3:30 pm Eastern Time/8:30 pm GMT. How do we know this? There is a countdown in a cryptic alien-like font (which can easily be converted into regular text via a copy and paste into a text editor) on a website that recently surfaced called Alien Noire.
Paradox Interactive, maker of third-person multiplayer action game War of the Roses, announced this weekend that a free trial of the game will be available this Wednesday on February 6. Why is the company offering a trial version months after the game’s launch in October 2012? We’re not too sure, but no doubt it is at least an attempt to boost sales of this multiplayer game where players fight with and against one another as knights.
As BioShock Infinite comes closer to its March release, 2K Games has released another trailer for the game. The latest City in the Sky trailer shows off the colorful parts and dark side of the floating city of Columbia. They cite the game “is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require”, […]
Electronic Arts is axing the Medal of Honor series from the list of yearly releases after the military shooter failed to gain favor among critics and fans.
“Medal of Honor was an obvious miss. The game was solid, but the focus on combat authenticity did not resonate with consumers,” EA’s chief operating officer Peter Moore said. “Critics were polarized and gave the game scores which were, frankly, lower than it deserved. This one is behind us now. We are taking Medal […]
Sony wants you to mark your calendar for February 20, 2013, and they’re not saying why. In an abstract 45 second video released on Sony’s official PlayStation Youtube channel today, Sony shows off a hypnotic swirl of lines, shapes and colors which come together at the end to form the symbols of their PlayStation controller buttons (Triangle, circle, cross, square). The video ends with a date: February 20, 2013 and we’re inclined to believe that Sony might just bring out […]
During an earnings call a few days ago, Electronic Arts confirmed that Insomniac’s sci-fi shooter Fuse will be in stores between April and June later on this year. The four-player cooperative action game follows four misfit agents known as Overstrike 9 as they fight to stop an […]
