The upcoming 8 GB of unified memory in the upcoming PlayStation 4 will certainly be a boon for game developers looking to make their game levels larger and more detailed than ever. Christophe Carrier, lead level designer of Dishonored, was the first to express his enthusiasm publicly, telling Eurogamer that such an amount of memory is “a joy”.

Ubisoft has released a new set of screenshots showcasing Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The developer has also announced that 40% of the gameplay will be at sea, meaning we will be seeing plenty of Jack Sparrow vs Davy Jones naval warfare action. The screenshots show exploding ships, a tropical backdrop and Edward Kenway involved in some cutthroat violence. Despite being called “cocky” and “charismatic”, Edward looks angry (or maybe tired?), a little sallow and underweight as implied […]
Not too long ago, PETA complained about Assassin’s Creed 4 that would feature harpooning whales, saying, “Whaling – that is, shooting whales with harpoons and leaving them to struggle for an hour or more before they die or are hacked apart while they are still alive – may seem like something out of the history books, but this bloody industry still goes on today in the face of international condemnation, and it’s disgraceful for any game to glorify it. PETA […]
Earlier today, All Games Beta posted a newly leaked screenshot of Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix. Ubisoft Digital Arts appears to be involved with the project. Since the title doesn’t end with a number after the words Assassin’s Creed, this might be the new 2013 Assassin’s Creed PS Vita title. Or maybe it’s another short animated movie like Embers. The faded picture behind the words show what looks like a laboratory of Abstergo Industries. While waiting for an […]
Tomb Raider is definitely getting all the attention it deserves since its release on Tuesday. Crystal Dynamics global brand manager Karl Stewart announced via Twitter that the Lara Croft reboot has already one million players in less than 48 hours.

Tomb Raider was released on March 5 earlier this week. We’re actually […]
If you played Age of Empires during your younger days, great news! Microsoft just unveiled that a HD remake of 1999 classic real-time strategy game, Age of Empires 2, has been in the works thanks to Hidden Path Entertainment (the same developers who helped out in making Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive). The remake covers both the original AOE2: Age of Kings game and its expansion pack released in 2000, The Conquerors Expansion.
Tomb Raider just got launched for Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 today and Crystal Dynamics has a one minute launch day trailer for the game. The video highlights the challenges and hardships Lara faces as she tries to survive, that shapes her to become the character she is in this modern-day reboot of the Tomb Raider series.
Tomb Raider comes out tomorrow and Crystal Dynamics, developer of the game, just launched a new website called “Gathering Courage“, a charity drive that will have the developer donate to good causes from collecting “inspiring stories”.
Not a few hours ago, Assassin’s Creed 4 was barely announced with some screenshots and there’s already talk of what may be coming to future Assassin’s Creed games after 2013. Ubisoft’s Ashraf Ismail, who is also the Game Director for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag was recently interviewed by game website IGN. One of the questions he was asked was about regarding the gender of the main character and why the last four […]
The heat is definitely on for this triple A title! After showing off first screens of the game, Ubisoft has released a second trailer for Assassin’s Creed 4, this time calling newly-announced protagonist Edward Kenway ‘a pirate trained by Assassins’. The one-minute video zooms in on Edward’s armor and weapons, besides showing his face contorted in various mid-scream expressions while fighting pirates.

The first screenshots of Assassin’s Creed 4 are looking incredibly impressive. Ubisoft is said to be giving the franchise a makeover to create a new experience for fans which, I say, is an excellent choice. Protagonist Edward Kenway can apparently hunt orcas, loot treasure underwater, leap onto other ships to engage in high sea battles, explore caves and plenty of other exciting and new activities. One of the pictures give us a very good look of Edward, who is donning […]
Ahead of its scheduled Monday revelation, the world premiere trailer for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has leaked onto the internet. As we all know, as soon as something goes online, it’s difficult to undo it.
