Guitar Hero developer Neversoft revealed that the studio is developing a new Call of Duty game “in support of Activison’s Call of Duty franchise”. The game is rumored to be a first-person shooter sci-fi game. However, nothing has been confirmed and more information is expected to be revealed in future.
That makes two Call of Duty games in the making. Recently Sledgehammer Games was said to be working on a new game of the same franchise. The studio confirmed this piece […]

David Cage, founder of Quantic Dream, began his enigmatic speech with a question that humans have been asking for centuries now – What happens after living things die? What lies beyond our lives? Will gamers find the answer in Beyond: Two Souls?
Cage announced that actress Ellen Page (Juno, Inception) will lend her voice and looks to the main character, Jodi Holmes, a woman with a psychic ability. The game footage showed Jodi sitting mutely while a local police officer questioned […]

“Connor Kenway. Captain Connor Kenway.” During the E3 press conference, Ubisoft confirmed that it will be taking off on its maiden voyage in Assassin’s Creed III. The new protagonist, Connor Kenway (a.k.a Ratonhnhaké:ton) trades his signature white Assassin robes for nautical attire in the Naval Battle gameplay demo and steers the wheel of his very own ship. The tempestuous weather rocks the vessel from side to side as Connor struggles to navigate it towards the Templars’ ship. You may be […]

E3: The Last of Us gameplay preview

Naughty Dog has succeeded in impressing me once again with the latest game footage of The Last of Us, a post-apocalyptic third-person video game, shown during the E3. The video features Joel and Ellie, the two survivors, exploring (presumably) the ruined city of Pittsburgh. It was an excellent showcase of beautiful scenery and graphics. Along the way, the duo encounter a group of hunters, survivors who are hostile towards other humans. The action sequence was fast-paced, realistic and absolutely thrilling.

Activision makes noise about ModernWarfare3.com supporting Battlefield 3

Activision makes noise about ModernWarfare3.com supporting Battlefield 3

By Brad S Jul 17 2011 add comment

Visit ModernWarfare3.com and you’ll find it isn’t a site about Modern Warfare 3, but one that bashes the Call of Duty series for recycling the same stuff, especially the gameplay elements and gaming engine, since the first Modern Warfare (Call of Duty 4) in 2007. And that’s exactly what Activision is unhappy about; the fact the Modern Warfare 3 “domain name” is a Call of Duty basher and urges folks to support the upcoming Battlefield 3 game from EA instead. […]

Want to chat privately with your buddies while playing the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3? Infinity Ward has granted your unheard wish! Modern Warfare 3 allows more party chat in many of the game modes, except for the Search & Destroy mode because apparently dead players are able to help the live players.
Looks like you can carry on with your private argument with your pals without other players having to tell you to zip it. […]

Battlefield 3 to be released October 25 with no mod tools

Battlefield 3 Poster
While there’s finally a launch date put on top of one of 2011’s games to watch, Battlefield 3, things aren’t looking so good for game developers and those looking to create their own maps, levels and modifications in general. Electronic Arts is saying that the Frostbite Engine’s nature is going to make the game difficult to create mods for and that it might be too much of a challenge for casual folks to make mods for Battlefield […]

Left4Dead 2 new Cold Stream campaign
You know how not long ago Valve released a new beta map, Cold Stream, for every Left4Dead 2 owner to play test? Well, they’ve recently announced that they’ll be releasing the Dead Air campaign (which was from the original Left4Dead) early on July 22… if and only if 20,000 folks earn the ‘Stream Crosser’ achievement by this Sunday.
It’s easy to become a Stream Crosser actually… just be sure to have updated your Left4Dead 2 to […]

Call of Duty “Action” game still in the pipeline

By Brad S Jun 24 2011 add comment

As if existing Call of Duty games aren’t action packed enough already, we’ve heard from an interview article today that Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg is saying Sledgehammer Games (who is still developing Modern Warfare 3) is focused on MW3… though that hints the original Action (or Call of Duty third person title… or Call of Duty MMO) COD game that Sledgehammer was supposed to develop, may be just ‘delayed’ but still in the pipeline, compared to being dropped completely, seeing […]

LA Noire coming to the PC platform in Fall 2011

By Brad S Jun 23 2011 add comment

LA Noire Logo
Rockstar Games, the guys behind LA Noire which was released in May, have announced that a PC version of the mafia-themed third-person game is in the works and scheduled for ‘Fall 2011’. Well, at least that’s good news for PC gamers looking to see what all the hype about the game was about, but not so good news, since this kind of release usually hints at the “PC game” actually being a console-port title. Still, we’ll hold our […]
