Despite what people argue every other day, this proves PC gaming is not dead.
Valve has announced that Steam has passed the six million mark for concurrent users. The Stats page peaked at 6,046,442 users with free-to-play title Dota 2 attracting the most players. Other top games include Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Assassin’s Creed 3, Football Manager 2013, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike. On December 4, Rockstar Games is releasing the Painful Memories Pack for Max Payne 3, featuring four new maps – Marty’s Bar, Shoot First, Canal De Panamá and Roscoe Street Subway from the first Max Payne game. The DLC includes new assault rifles, avatars, items and introduces a new feature called the Hangover Burst which causes blurred vision, reduced stamina and health to respawned enemies.

Thousands sign PC release petition for GTA V

Mike Julliard has started a petition on change.org to get Rockstar Games to release Grand Theft Auto V on PC because “GTA is an amazing PC game and the idea of it not being on PC is a mistake”. Already more than 50,000 people have signed the petition and about 49,000 more are needed.

Tomb Raider campaign is 12-15 hours long

During a Twitter Q&A session with fans, Crystal Dynamics global brand manager Karl Stewart revealed that the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot will take 12-15 hours or more to complete, “depending on your play style”. Stewart also said that Lara Croft will have regenerative health but she will have no ability to swim.

Since the update yesterday, players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have been experiencing leaderboard issues such as scores and ranks reset to zero. Treyarch is aware of the issue and currently working on the problem.

A listing on the Korean Ratings Board suggests that the 3DS survival horror title Resident Evil: Revelations could be coming soon to home consoles.
The Capcom title stars protagonists of the first Resident Evil game Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine with new sidekicks and features Raid Mode, a two-player co op. The game has also received positive reviews for its impressive visuals, excellent gameplay and engaging storyline.

Man sets new record, plays Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for 135 hours

A sales manager for Sydney-based online retailer 4Cabling has shattered the Guinness World Record for longest gaming marathon by playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for over 135 hours. Guinness rules grant players a ten-minute break every hour which means Okan Kaya didn’t actually play continuously for 7 days. Angry Birds soda is outselling Coca Cola and Pepsi in Finland

Rovio’s Angry Birds isn’t just one of the most addictive mobile games of the generation; it’s now taking over soft drink industry by “outselling Coca Cola and Pepsi” as sales of Angry Birds fizzy pop drink skyrocket in Helsinki, Finland, according to The Next Web.
Rovio CMO Peter Vesterbacka confirmed that the drink is coming soon to stores in New Zealand and Australia.
The soda tastes “a bit like Lilt but less sugary and maybe a bit more like apples”. Sounds refreshing!
