Xbox One controller to work with Windows PC in 2014

The controller of the upcoming Xbox One will soon be able to work not just on Microsoft’s next-generation console but on PC as well. According to what video game blog GamesBeat heard from an unnamed Microsoft spokesperson, the new controller for the Xbox One sports new technology that makes it different from the controller used by the Xbox 360 and that it will take “some work” to make the new controller work with PC games that were made to support Xbox 360 controllers.

Microsoft is working on writing new software to make features such as impulse triggers work with the PC platform. Compatibility between the Xbox One controller and PC is expected to make its way in 2014.
