The heat is definitely on for this triple A title! After showing off first screens of the game, Ubisoft has released a second trailer for Assassin’s Creed 4, this time calling newly-announced protagonist Edward Kenway ‘a pirate trained by Assassins’. The one-minute video zooms in on Edward’s armor and weapons, besides showing his face contorted in various mid-scream expressions while fighting pirates.
Here are the details about Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag:
- Setting is in West Indies, 1715
- 50 unique locations with hidden treasures – cities, ruins, coves, caves and jungles

- He’s selfish, cocky and charismatic
- His ship is named Jackdaw; can be upgraded, repaired, customized
- He can harpoon whales, dive and loot
- He can climb the crow’s nest and his spyglass will tell you about enemy ships such as strength and type of cargo
- Wider choices for assassinations
- The weather will affect naval warfare more than AC3
- Plenty of tactical approaches for dominating enemy ships – grapple across to fight man-to-man, attack with ship cannons, go igconito and surprise attack
- Different types of ships such as ‘chargers’
- The modern day story is about you, the research analyst
- Multiplayer modes like other AC games
- Better graphics for PlayStation 4
