Paul Walker to star in Hitman movie reboot entitled ‘Agent 47’

According to a Hollywood Deadline report, Fox International Productions is set to reboot the film adaptation of the video game Hitman under the title ‘Agent 47’. Paul Walker, best known as main protagonist Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furious film franchise, has been cast as the lead character – lethal assassin Agent 47.

Commercial director Aleksander Bach will direct the movie, marking his debut in film directing. Skip Woods (screenwriter for the first Hitman film and A Good Day to Die Hard) and Michael Finch (writer for Predators) will pen the script.

The filming will take place in Berlin and Singapore this June. Walker will shave his head bald to fit the appearance of 47 who has a distinctive barcode tattooed on the back of his head. The 2007 film (starring Timothy Olyphant) grossed more than $100 million internationally but received generally negative reviews.
