God of War: Ascension behind-the-scenes video shows motion capture acting

The behind-the-scenes clip shows T.C Carson’s award-winning performance as Kratos, the former servant of Ares and one of the video game industry’s most badass characters. Jennifer Hale (best known as the female Commander Shepherd in the Mass Effect series) acts alongside Carson with her portrayal of Lysandra. The video also shows game director Todd Papy and other crew working on the set as they prepare to bring Kratos to life in this motion capture performance and what cinematic animation does to improve realism. And yes, that is Troy Baker (voice of main protagonist in the upcoming blockbusters, The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite), ready to take over the video game world with his flawless voice acting work as usual, as Orkos.

God of War: Ascension is due for release on March 12 in North America and March 13 in Europe for PlayStation 3. A demo is expected to be released in the following two weeks.
