After confirming that Medal of Honor has been axed and Fuse release has been delayed, Electronic Arts has announced that more Battlefield 4 details will be revealed “in about 90 days” during the Q3 financial call.
“We’ve already talked a little bit about that we have a Battlefield title coming next year, but we’re not in a position right now to talk about our development plans and our SKU plan long term,” said EA Labels president Frank Gibeau. “That will come in about 90 days when we get to show you some Battlefield stuff.”
“We are not announcing an annualization of Battlefield today,” Gibeau added. “What we’ve said is that we will be launching a Battlefield game next year, and we’re very excited to show you guys more detail on that coming soon. But we’re not announcing an annualization of Battlefield at this time.”
It is unknown whether the release will be in April 2013 or April 2014 or between March 2013 and April 2014. Either way, let’s hope it doesn’t take too long because that would mean Battlefield: Bad Company 3 (likely to be the next game in line for release) will be arriving late in the future.
