Naughty Dog has just announced that it is launching upcoming post-apocalyptic game, The Last of Us, with two special editions: a Survival Edition priced at $79.99 and Post-Pandemic Edition priced at $149.99. Sony talked about what comes in the boxes of both editions on their PlayStation Blog.
The Last of Us Survival Edition will come bundled with a special Sights & Sounds DLC, Art of The Last of Us artbook, a Steelbook case, Naughty Dog chrome sticker pack and first issue of the new The Last of Us: American Dreams comic book.
The Sights & Sounds DLC will contain The Last of Us official soundtrack, a PlayStation 3 Dynamic Theme and PlayStation Network avatars for Winter Joel and Ellie.
The Last of Us Post-Pandemic Edition is geared towards what Sony and Naughty Dog call the ‘true collector’. This GameStop-exclusive package has everything from the Survival Edition, sans the art book, but also includes a collectible 12 inch statue of Joel and Ellie plus an additional Survival DLC Pack (which contains bonus XP, melee booster, some in-game currency, multiplayer bonuses, customizable character items and bonus Joel and Ellie skins which become unlocked after you complete the single player campaign).
The Dark Horse Comics published hardcover art book (called Art of The Last of Us) can also be purchased separately with a retail price of $39.99. The artbook showcases 170 pages worth of design and artwork from the making of the game. It is also currently available for pre-order on Amazon for a mere $26.57 right now… who knows how long this deal will last.
The Last of Us is a PlayStation 3 exclusive game that is currently available for pre-order. The game comes out on May 7, 2013.
