Well bless their heart! The kind folks at Valve (the people behind Counterstrike, Portal and Left4Dead series) have made one of their ‘big classics’, Team Fortress 2, free to play on both Mac and PC. Head on to Steam and you’ll find TF2 being the latest addition to the “Costs $0″ section! Yay!
As if existing Call of Duty games aren’t action packed enough already, we’ve heard from an interview article today that Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg is saying Sledgehammer Games (who is still developing Modern Warfare 3) is focused on MW3… though that hints the original Action (or Call of Duty third person title… or Call of Duty MMO) COD game that Sledgehammer was supposed to develop, may be just ‘delayed’ but still in the pipeline, compared to being dropped completely, seeing […]
LA Noire Logo
Rockstar Games, the guys behind LA Noire which was released in May, have announced that a PC version of the mafia-themed third-person game is in the works and scheduled for ‘Fall 2011′. Well, at least that’s good news for PC gamers looking to see what all the hype about the game was about, but not so good news, since this kind of release usually hints at the “PC game” actually being a console-port title. FEAR 3 Logo
Horror first-person shooter title FEAR 3, also known as F3AR, is out today in North America, with European and Australian launches to follow in the coming week. The game has launched on all three platforms: PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, which is good news so nobody is left out. We’ll see if we can muster our guts and courage together to play the game without getting nightmares after, and post a review when (if?) we do.
A screenshot of Crysis 2
Like spending more money on three month old game titles you might have already chucked in your archive shelf? You’ll love this one! EA/Crytek have just released their Decimation Map Pack which contains five new maps for the game with two new weapons. That’ll be ten bucks please… no, seriously.
Karl Troedsson, DICE GM, talks Battlefield 3 and E3
DICE General Manager, Karl Troedsson, has just written about how excited they are for E3 next week as they’ll be showing both singleplayer and multiplayer demos at the convention. He focuses on talking about the multiplayer aspect of things, saying maps will be bigger than ever with better close quarter combat experiences.
Some multiplayer features which he has also revealed include the ability to use vehicles in multiplayer (we’re guessing […]
An official trailer has just been put online ahead of E3 2011, showcasing next year’s multi-platform Tomb Raider title. The game, named just Tomb Raider, is a reboot of the series (Kinda like how the makers of The Fast and The Furious probably ran out of names and just used ‘Fast and Furious’ for the fourth movie), will continue to feature the game’s traditional protagonist Lara Croft and has an expected due date of Q3 2012… that’s more than a […]
Crysis 2 DirectX 11 demo at Computex 2011
This is just in, PC Games Hardware DE, a German website dedicated to PC gaming and hardware, has just posted a video from the Innovation Forum at Computex 2011. The video shows one of Nvidia’s top level representatives showing off Crysis 2 running DirectX 11 features. Improved graphical details from tessellation, smoother motion blur and more realistic object focusing via better shallow depth-of-field and bokeh effects are among the things […]
